Marijuana is an excellent choice in a community setting; It’s easier to create new bonds and strengthen the current relationship with your friends.
You probably have the proper handling of the rules of stoner and etiquette. Alas, nobody is born an experienced and responsible stoner, so for those of you who enjoy marijuana but aren’t familiar with the stoner etiquette.
To help you conquer your first marijuana session like a pro, we’ve outlined some of the most common rules of marijuana etiquette.
1. Never forget to have stash of your own
As everyone favourite line “sharing is caring”. And while this sentence is gold – because people like to share their green goodies with friends – guys who continuously leech on other smoker’s stuff can be a pain in the neck. If you can afford to buy some stuff – even in not large quantities – do it; people will appreciate it, and you’ll always have their credit.
2. Rolls The Joint – Sparks It
That’s one of the most fundamental rules of the stoner etiquette. Nonetheless, there is one exception to it, which means that you can spark the joint if someone used your stash to roll it. Otherwise, if it’s their stuff, they should light it.
3. Always remove seeds and stems
Always remove seeds and stems from your marijuana. Not only do they taste bad when burned, but they’ll cause your bowl or joint to pop and spark. That’s why it’s best to keep them out of your circle.
4. Be honest if you don’t know how to roll a joint.
Rolling a right joint is hard to do, and it takes a lot of practice to improve. If your rolling skills aren’t quite up to par, let your friends know. Someone else will probably offer to help.
5. Don’t Slobber On The Joint
There is nothing pleasant – let alone aesthetic aspects – in tasting someone else’s saliva. Given this, be nice and save your liquids for the pasties, once your salivary glands work at a slower pace. If you can’t help it, then at least wipe your mouth with a tissue before you get in touch with the joint.
6. Offer guests the first hit
Basic common courtesy, really, but it applies to group smoke sessions, too. If you are the host, make your guests feel welcome by offering the first hit (the “green hit”).
7. Never Blow Smoke In Someone Else’s Face
Such a rude and inconsiderate behaviour can give rise to severe vibes and make you an unwelcome guest in the circle.
8. Admit when you’re sick
If you’re sick, make sure to tell everyone. Bring your one-hitter or cup your hand around the mouthpiece to avoid cross-contamination. Marijuana has many health benefits, but keeping a person from getting a cold isn’t one of them.
9. Be gracious
Use your cannabis experience to gain a better appreciation for your friends all together. The smoke session is a great time to get to know your friends on a more personal level, so be gracious for it.
If you’ve got newbies in your smoke circle, or just someone who seems awkward, make sure to remind them that they are among friends. Be careful not to pass judgement on people in your circle and remember everyone responds to marijuana differently.
